Here, David W. Sedat explains the Maya temazcal, and its possible connection to December 21, 2012.

Sedat, currently a University of Pennsylvania Museum Research Associate, served as the Field Director of the University of Pennsylvania Museum’s Early Copan Archaeological Project (ECAP) from 1988 to 2003 (Dr. Robert Sharer, Director).

He is Director of the Copan 2012 Botanical Research Station.
